Fried Corn with Crispy Bacon and Green Onion
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh corn ears of fresh shucked corn
- 1 cup chopped crisp bacon, cooked (optional)
- 1 cup heavy cream (optional )
- 2 large green onions thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon agave
- 1 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon diced red onion
- 2 tablespoon butter
- Salt & pepper to taste
Steps
- Over medium high heat add oil to the saut pan. Add the onion and the corn and cook stirring frequently to prevent sticking for four to five minutes, then add cream until liquid is reduced and corn is tender.
- Stir in the agave and cook for one minute then add the butter and bacon (if using), green onion and butter.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
