Ingredients
- ¼ cup canola oil
- 1 ½ lb beef cubed steak
- ½ cup flour
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 3 cups saltine crackers, crushed (or cracker meal)
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
Steps
- Preheat oil in a large sauté pan on medium 2-3 minutes. Dip cubed steaks in flour (coating both sides) then dip into egg (allowing excess to drip off). Finally, dip into crushed saltines.
- Place two steaks in oil and cook 4-6 minutes on each side or until meat is brown and 160°F. Repeat. Season with salt and pepper.

Other preparation methods
Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F. Season 1 ½ lb beef cubed steaks with salt and pepper, 1 teaspoon adobo, and parsley flakes. Dredge in ¼ cup flour and place on foil-lined baking sheet. Coat steaks with cooking spray and bake 10-12 minutes or until meat is brown and 160°F.
